Lisa Vitale, President
Ms Vitale brings more than 20 years of creating the strategy behind marketing campaigns which target key accounts and decision makers. As CEO of SimplyDIRECT she has focused on customer service, ensuring campaigns are executed on schedule, in time and on spec. Before taking her current position in 2009, Ms. Vitale served as the CFO for SimplyDIRECT.
Prior to SimplyDIRECT, Ms. Vitale worked for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and Phillip Johnson & Associates. She is the founder of the Sudbury Day Festival, a town-wide event celebrating the cultural diversity of Sudbury. She currently sits on the Jean Lind Sudbury Teen Center Advisory board and is a member of EO Boston (Entrepreneurs Organization).
Ms. Vitale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine.
Douglas Barth, Partner
Mr. Barth founded SimplyDIRECT in 1997. He pioneered the sales prospecting process of using opt-in email web surveys deployed to key decision makers in clients’ target accounts. Doug has had a successful 25-year career in B2B direct marketing and account penetration, including account management at BBDO Direct, VP Marketing at Strategic Software, and GM at The Programmer’s Shop. In 1990 he co-founded the Computer Buyer’s Club, the industry’s first shopping club for PC hardware and software.
Mr. Barth holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Amherst College, and is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor. He currently sits on the boards of Ti-SALES, Inc., a leading supplier of water meter technology; Linear Air, an on-demand jet taxi service; and the Metrowest Free Medical Program, a nonprofit that serves low income families with free medical care.
Janet Aikens-Kinney, Account Executive
Janet Aikens brings almost 20 years of marketing experience to SimplyDIRECT in the areas of account management, program development and program/product marketing. She has achieved high levels of client satisfaction and retention through effective project management to deliver campaigns within spec and budget. Prior to joining SimplyDIRECT, Ms. Aikens has worked at the Metropolitan Opera, Reebok and Affinity Marketing Group. She has served as an officer on the vestries of Trinity Church, Concord and the mission church of St. George’s as well as numerous task forces and committees at both the parish and diocesan levels. Ms. Aikens holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the Boston College Carroll Graduate School of Management.
Jonathan Kennedy, Director of Sales
Jon Kennedy, has developed, closed and launched many accounts in his career as a sales leader. He is a key member of the SimplyDIRECT sales team. Prior to joining SimplyDIRECT, he held various positions in local technology start-ups.
He received a degree in Marketing with honors from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. Mr. Kennedy also officiates ice-hockey games for the USPHL, EHL and NCAA.
Christiane Nilsson, Director of Operations
Christiane Nilsson has more than 20 years experience in the design and implementation of innovative, highly effective, integrated direct marketing campaigns that drive business success— from customer acquisition, to retention and cross-selling. She has extensive experience building target databases and prospect lists.
Prior to joining SimplyDIRECT her most recent positions were Director of Marketing Operations at Monster.com and Vice President of Market Information at Bank of America where she managed the acquisition staff, developed marketing materials and e-marketing content and direction. Ms. Nilsson grew up in Germany, has a Masters degree from Harvard University in French literature, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tübingen University in Germany.
Martha Reid, Senior Account Executive
Since joining SimplyDIRECT in 2009, Ms. Reid has focused on restructuring account services to deliver projects that exceed client expectations. As a result of her teamwork projects are consistently executed on time, on schedule and on spec, with proactive client communications. This has led to a high level of repeat business, especially with Fortune 500 clients. Ms. Reid holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Earlham College. Ms. Reid is very active in her community and over the years has been the driving force behind the success of many town, school and civic groups’ sales prospecting efforts.
